Bangladesh (Onkod Radio) –  Bangladeshi singer-actor Hero Alom, who has a huge fan-following on the internet, was hauled in by police and told to stop singing his renditions of songs. He has nearly two million Facebook followers and almost 1.5 million subscribers on YouTube.

Arabian Song, in which he appears in traditional Arab clothing on a sand dune with camels superimposed in the background, has garnered 17 million views, AFP reports. Alom, however, has been criticised by several quarters for his renditions of classic songs of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore and Bangladeshi poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.
