Help police identify and thank a good Samaritan who came to the rescue of slapped deputy

|

Campell (Onkod Radio )— On Saturday a deputy with the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office checked on a sleeping woman in her vehicle when she slapped him.

Now police are trying to find a bystander who helped take the woman into custody to thank him for his help.

The woman in the car, Faith Thompson, was asleep when the deputy arrived and woke her. Thompson said she would assault the deputy by slapping her, which she did.

While the deputy was pulling Thompson from the truck, a Dollar General employee and an unknown bystander helped the deputy take her into custody because Thompson was kicking and hitting.
